Great interest in the 55 megawatt solar park in Bokel
In the first week of June, we met with the members of the committee for economic development in the unified municipality of Beverstedt in the district of Cuxhaven in Lower Saxony and were able to present our plans for the Bokel solar park clearly and in detail. In this context our project developer Felix Kandsorra also had the opportunity to highlight the ecological and economic advantages for the community.
Our current project planning envisages two planning areas with a total capacity of approx. 55 megawatts on the territory of the municipality of Beverstedt. The planning area Bokel 1 is located about 2 km northwest of Stubben. At this point the use of the land for the construction of a open-site PV-system plant with a total capacity of approx. 25 megawatts is envisaged.
The second sub-area Bokel 2 covering approximately 29.4 ha is located southwest of Bokel 1, about 2.5 km northwest of the local center of Bokel and envisions a total output of about 30 megawatts after construction.
This could avoid 41,000 to 49,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year in the future and supply approximately 14,700 3-4 person households per year with green electricity. Provided that the state and regional spatial planning program receives its planned new edition, it would be quite conceivable to concretize the plans as early as next year.
